Taiwanese Coconut Milk Tea

A sweet and creamy drink perfect for cold days.  Cut back on the water and use coconut milk if you can't find the coconut milk powder.   It's important to let the water cool slightly before making your tea because green tea turns bitter if steeped too hot.  80 degrees is optimal for steeping green tea.

Servings 1 person


  • 1 cup just boiled water, cooled slightly (80 degrees)
  • 2 tbsp powdered coconut milk
  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 tbsp whipping cream (35%)
  • 1 tsp honey


  1. Steep tea bag in the slightly cooled boiling water for 2-4 minutes.    

  2. Stir in the powdered coconut milk and honey until dissolved.  Add the whipping cream and stir again.
