What's more Canadian than Maple Syrup and Canadian Rye Whisky?! Sweet and bold, this old fashioned will have you smacking your lips and asking for another.
In a short glass, add the maple syrup and whisky and stir until the maple syrup has dissolved completely. Add a few dashes of angostura bitters and give it a quick stir. Add a large ice cube to the glass and stir for 40 seconds, or until the glass becomes cold to the touch and the drink is sufficiently chilled. Twist the orange peel over the glass to release the oil and drop into the drink. Serve with a cherry if desired. Enjoy responsibly!!
